KFA Announces New Associates, Chris Boentges and Greg Blackburn

AUSTIN (June 11, 2020) – K Friese + Associates (KFA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Boentges, PE (pictured left) and Greg Blackburn, PE (pictured right) to Associate.

Chris Boentges is a Senior Engineer/Project Manager and Group Leader in our Water and Wastewater Business Practice, as well as the KFA San Antonio Office Team Lead. He has 14 years of experience providing design and management services on various water and wastewater projects, including many projects for the San Antonio Water System (SAWS). Most notably, Chris acted as the KFA Lead Engineer on the SAWS W6 Upper Segment Tunnel project and is currently assisting SAWS in evaluating existing pipe failures as part of the Boerne Stage Water Main Replacement project. Chris joined KFA in 2017 and is a proud graduate of the University of Texas-El Paso with a BS in Civil Engineering.

Greg Blackburn is a KFA Water and Wastewater Business Practice Group Leader and Project Manager/Engineer. He has nine years of experience successfully delivering water and wastewater design solutions to several public sector clients in Central Texas. Most recent projects include the Brushy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, the BCRUA Deep Water Intake, and the City of Austin’s Oltorf Reclaimed Water Line. Greg joined KFA in 2013 and is a proud graduate of the University of Texas-Austin, with a BS in Civil Engineering.
