AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO/HOUSTON (February 23, 2022) – KFA is pleased to announce our three newest Associates: Abe Salinas, PE, CFM, who is our Drainage Practice Lead based in San Antonio (pictured left); Sheldon Buck, PE, ENV SP, a senior water/wastewater engineer in our Houston office (pictured center); and Dan Cryan, PE, an Austin-based Project Manager in our Transportation Practice (pictured right).
Abe Salinas is KFA’s Drainage Practice Lead, bringing 16 years of experience in stormwater and flood control planning and design. In addition to his technical qualifications, Abe serves on the Board Directors for the Edwards Aquifer Authority representing District 3 in Bexar County; is an appointee to the City of San Antonio’s 2022-2027 Bond Program Drainage & Flood Control Committee representing Council District 1; and is a Board Director for the Texas Floodplain Management Association.
Sheldon Buck is a Senior Engineer with 24 years of water/wastewater experience and serves as our Houston Office Group Leader. An expert in all phases of pump station and treatment facilities from planning and design to construction and operations, Sheldon has played a key role in expanding our Houston presence. He is recognized by clients for his technical excellence, his practical approach to problem solving, and his successful work leading design teams that include engineers from multiple disciplines.
Dan Cryan is a Group Leader and Senior Engineer at KFA with nine years of experience in transportation engineering. Dan’s projects have ranged from freeway interchange reconstructions to greenfield schematic designs to municipal hike-and-bike trails. He has also been a key contributor on several significant local aviation and transit projects, such as the AUS 2040 Master Plan and the Project Connect Blue Line Preliminary Schematic. At KFA, Dan has played an integral role in shaping numerous internal KFA firm initiatives from team training programs to software migrations.
