Dan Cryan, PE

With a knack for 3D modeling and a reputation for innovative design methods, Dan is a Senior Engineer bringing nine years of roadway design experience to the KFA team.

Dan is an established Project Manager in our Transportation Business Practice. In addition to municipal, County, and TxDOT roadway projects, he has also been a key player in several significant aviation and transit projects in the Austin area, such as the AUS 2040 Master Plan and the Capital Metro Project Connect Blue Line Preliminary Schematic. Dan’s resume of roadway projects ranges from freeway interchange reconstructions to greenfield schematic designs to municipal hike-and-bike trails.

As a Project Manager, Dan has a track record of providing timesaving, creative solutions on which KFA clients have come to rely. He also has a keen ability to keep complex projects moving forward according to schedule and budget by delegating clearly to staff on his team. In addition to his design work, Dan has played a key role in developing our CAD standards, design software upgrades, and training programs, and in mentoring Engineers-In-Training at KFA.

Dan graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York with a BS in Civil Engineering.
